  • Magnetotelluric sounding monitoring at the Bishkek Geodynamic Proving Ground (Northern Tien Shan) revealed variations in the Earth's electromagnetic field associated with seismic events;
  • An artificial neural network, CatalinNet, was developed to detect anomalies in geomagnetic field variations. The neural network is applicable for the comprehensive study of geophysical processes associated with preparation of seismic events;
  • The SeisDetNet neural network was developed for the automatic detection of seismic events.
  • The RSNet neural network was developed for automatically determining the arrival times of P- and S-waves based on the analysis of seismic signal mesofluctuations;
  • A machine learning model was developed to differentiate earthquakes and man-made explosions based on seismogram data.
  • Geomagnetic responses to seismic wave arrivals were identified in the form of anomalous variations in the rate of change of the geomagnetic field, synchronized in time with times of waves arrival.
  • Anomalous variations in atmospheric temperature in the upper troposphere and lower stratosphere were detected during the preparation and implementation periods of strong earthquakes in various regions of Eurasia.
  • Pre- and postseismic anomalies in the variations of ionospheric total electron content (TEC) above the epicenter of Uchturfan earthquake (January 22, 2024) were identified, indicating a relationship between lithospheric and ionospheric processes;
  • A seismic monitoring system for modern geodynamic processes was developed using a three-component gradient setup. Developed hardware and software system is designed to record, calculate, and analyze the parameters of endogenous seismic field and is a new tool applicable to study of modern geodynamic processes in the Northern Tien Shan.
  • An analysis of the current level of mobility and the stress-strain state in tectonic blocks and fault zones within the Bishkek Local GPS Network (Northern Tien Shan) was conducted using space geodetic observations from 1997 to 2021;
  • Seismic and geoacoustic responses of the Earth's crust high-power electrical pulse soundings from ERGU-600 installation at the Bishkek Geodynamic Proving Ground were identified;
  • Preseismic correlated anomalies in spatiotemporal temperature changes in lower atmosphere and total electron content of ionosphere were identified;
  • A "wide" profile technology was developed using electrical resistivity tomography to study the geoelectric structure of the Northern Tien Shan fault zone.
  • An assessment of general consistent directions of the principal axes of horizontal deformation and their differences by region was accomplished using space geodesy and seismotectonic deformation methods for the Tien Shan territory to depth of 25 km for the period 1997-2019.
  • An experimental prototype of a hardware-software broadband measuring complex with noise-like signals was developed for electromagnetic studies of modern geodynamic processes in the earth's crust using the transient electromagnetic field (TEM) sounding method in the near zone on the territory of Bishkek Geodynamic Proving Ground.

  According to the Agreement No. 001/2026 dated 02.02.2026 on "Joint work on mathematical processing of scientific geodetic data", from February 02 to 15, 2026, the second stage of mastering the GNSS data processing process in the GAMIT/GLOBK program by colleagues from Kazakhstan took place at the RS RAS. K.K. Kolumbetova and N.B. Amirov from the Laboratory of Physics of Geodynamic and Seismic Processes of the National Scientific Center for Seismological Observations and Research of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan (NSCSRI) LLP participated in the implementation of the Agreement. On the part of the RS RAS, LGPS employees – Y.M. Salamatina, O.A. Prokhorov and S.I. Kuzikov ensured the fulfillment of the terms of the Contract.

  As a result of the fulfillment of the Contract, under the guidance of LGPS staff, colleagues from the NSCSNI processed GPS data for 2024-2025 on the territory of Kazakhstan with the involvement of points of the international IGS network at the GAMIT and GLOBK stages. Time series of coordinates (ITRF2020) and velocity vectors (EURA2020) of permanent observation points were calculated, graphs of coordinate variations and a map of horizontal velocities were constructed using the GMT program.
