X International Symposium dedicated to the 150th Anniversary of geological research of the Tien Shan

Dear colleagues!

We would like to remind you that the X International Symposium dedicated to the 150th Anniversary of geological research in the Tien Shan will be held at the Research Station of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RS RAS) from August 12–15, 2026.

Due to numerous requests addressed to the Organizing Committee, we decided to extend the deadline for accepting applications for participation in the Symposium until June 14, 2026.

Circulars and other informational and organizational materials are attached.

We are also sending you a second information letter with a preliminary schedule, registration fee, and accommodation recommendations in Bishkek; information about the planned geological and geophysical excursion; and a template for the registration fee agreement.

To optimally plan the routes of official transport during the Symposium's working days, we ask participants planning to attend the Symposium in person to inform the Organizing Committee of the following:

Your full name (and the names of any accompanying persons, if any).

Dates, times, and arrival and departure flights from Kyrgyzstan (MANAS Airport).

Address of the hotel where you are planning to stay during the Symposium (if you have any questions or difficulties choosing and booking a hotel, please contact the Organizing Committee; we will try to help you).

Do you plan to participate in the excursion.

XVIII International Conference of Young Scientists and Students "Modern Equipment and Technologies in Scientific Research" - 2026

  Since 2009, the International Conference of Young Scientists and Students "Modern Equipment and Technologies in Scientific Research" has been held annually at the Research Station of the Russian Academy of Sciences in Bishkek (RS RAS). The 18th "Molodezhka" was held in 2026: the event, held in a hybrid format from April 22 to 24, 2026, brought together approximately 70 participants from Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Tajikistan.

  The main goals pursued by the event's organizers are to improve the level of scientific research and expand the scientific horizons of young scientists and students, integrate science and education, develop the creative activity of young scientists, and popularize scientific research conducted by RS RAS

  The conference operated in a hybrid format, with 47 papers presented in breakout sessions (in person and online). The event's core scientific focus covered a broad range of topics and allowed participants to present research results in the fields of Earth and environmental sciences (sections "Integrated Geological and Geophysical Research in Seismically Active Regions" and "Natural and Man-Made Hazards"), as well as mechanics, physics, mathematics, and other natural sciences and engineering (section "Interdisciplinary Papers").

Participation of Researchers from the Research Station of the Russian Academy of Sciences in the 16th General Assembly of the Asian Seismological Commission in Tashkent

  The Asian Seismological Commission (ASC), established in 1996, is an important international event held every two years that brings together leading scientists and specialists in the field of seismology. In recent years, ASC has made a significant contribution to earthquake science through the development of broad international cooperation, scientific achievements, and capacity building across the Asian region.

  From April 25 to 30, 2026, the 16th General Assembly of the Asian Seismological Commission (16GA-ASC) was held in the hospitable capital of Uzbekistan, Tashkent. The event was dedicated to the 30th anniversary of ASC and to the 60th anniversary of the tragic and devastating 1966 Tashkent earthquake.

  More than 300 registered participants (including about 200 guests) from 31 countries across Asia, Europe, North America, and South America took part in this large-scale scientific event, which covered 22 thematic sessions conducted in English.
